The Au pair's job
We are looking for a mature, responsible and kind person, who truly loves children and who knows how to care for them. If you like helping out around the house and cooking too that’s always good, but the most important thing for us is that you love being with children. Since you’ll be responsible for many things in Lotte's and Floris's lives, your opinions and thoughts matter and together, we’ll make decisions regarding their activities.
The kids both go to an international school in Limassol which runs from 7:50 until 1:30. There is an after school (homework) club from 1:30 until 2:30 pm, which we expect they will attend 2-3 days. We expect that you will help us by helping drop the kids off at school, picking them up , preparing food and then generally keeping the house in order (we have also a professional cleaning lady twice a week) while the kids are at school. The routine will likely vary depending on our work schedules which can change week to week.
We would like a very energetic, fun, dependable and calm person to join our family and find her self useful around the house in anything related to kids. We like a hard working, self-motivated individual, quick learner and proactive person. You need to be able to be in good health and being able to pick them up if the situation requires it. Also we need you to be a confident person, able to deal effectively with children tantrums and able to comfort them quickly.
We expect once at home, to help them wash, cook food, make sure they eat both cooked food/vegies/fruits /give and something bought from the market. We also need help with their laundry, tidying up their room and some light housework.
We are a relax, active, aware and mature family. We like to explain things. We give constructive feedback often so you know all the time what you need to do and when. Our kids are fun an kind and they get attached very quickly. They'll probably tell you they love you within a week of your stay here.
