I would like to be an au pair because it is a nice opportunity to immerse myself in a foreign culture, get joy from taking care of children and developing my people skills. I have taken care of a neighbours child before, which I really like because being around children has always had a positive influence on my mental health no matter how difficult they might be. I have studied English language and literature and am currently on academic leave so I am taking this time to explore different options of developing my skillset and doing something more meaningful than just working in the service industry.
