Hello! We are a slightly crazy family living in Glasgow looking for a new au-pair from April 2017. We have 2 girls, Myfanwy (Miffy) and Olwen aged 12 and 9. Olwen attends our local school, Myfanwy has just started boarding school in England but is home at weekends. They both love everything from drawing to in-line skating and cooking, and get along well with each other. Their hobbies include music (singing and fiddle/cello/piano) and arts and crafts. Olwen also plays hockey and loves playing games. Mathis is German and I am from London and we now live in Scotland! We are both doctors - we both work full time in hospitals nearby. We all love travel, food and being outdoors. We look forward to welcoming our new aupair to our family and to life in the lively and friendly city of Glasgow!
We are looking for a fun and happy au pair to join our family, who is also responsible and enjoys children and family life. Our aupair takes Olwen to and from school and her after school activities, prepares and clears up breakfast for her and a family evening meal for us all, and helps out with the washing and ironing. Myfanwy usually flies to school on her own but occasionally there are no British Airways flights so we would ask our au pair to fly down and meet her at the airport (Gatwick) on a Friday and bring her home. We have a cleaner so our new aupair does not need to do any other housework. Weekends are free . We need an aupair who is a safe and competent driver, as you will need to take the girls by car to some activities. Don't worry about driving on the left - all our aupairs have found this OK after a little practise . We would like an aupair who can cook simple fresh meals -Mathis is vegetarian but the rest of us eat most things. We try and healthy food and mostly organic and fresh vegetables. We also have 2 guinea pigs. We have wifi and free calls to European land lines, we also have lots of books and English DVDs and a piano. Family is very important to us and we have enjoyed all our aupairs over the years and keep in touch with them. We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you have
