We are a young family living in a very nice town near Amsterdam called Bussum. Bussum is a midsize town with plenty facillities such as a nice and cosy towncentre, a train station, sporting facilities (swimming, hockey, soccer, tennis etc.). In the weekends there is plenty to (bars, club, restaurants etc.). Furthermore Bussum is very close to Hilversum, Amsterdam and Utrecht. A lot of au pairs coming from all over the world live in Bussum, so it is easy to get to know new people here and have fun together. We are a relative young family, mom and dad with a son (5 years) and a daughter (almost 3 years) and a baby on the way (expected in May this year). We are an open, kind and outgoing family and like to have fun together. We do go out on a regular basis (zoo, (indoor) playground, woods, beach, restaurant, visit family and friends etc.) We live in a lovely house just outside the centre of Bussum. The house is large and cosy at the same time, with a large garden, located nearby woody surroundings (forest), but also nearby the towncentre with all its facilities. The past two years we already have had 2 different au pairs from Spain living with us for a year each. We can say that we are used to having an extra “family member” in the house. Off course the current au pair, as well as the former au pair, can share their experience with you if you like. The oldest two kids do speak a little bit of Spanish and English so both are easy to communicate with. We would like the au pair to look after our 2 oldest children when we are working, lunch with them, pick them up from school or daycare. She will have to be like a big sister to them and a member of our family. In our home we find it important that we are all equal and respect each other. As we are quite outgoing ourselves, we would like an outgoing type of person. We think it is important that the children go outside a lot, so we'd like you to go out(side) with the children as much as possible (to the town centre, playground play with other kids with other au pairs etc.) We like to support each other and we like it if everybody shows (own)initiative. We like to be as open as possible and everything is possible or at least always open for discussion.
