We are a single parent family temporarily based in the Cotham ( BS6 ) area of Bristol. Mum needs support to look after her 2 youngest children so she can be with her older son who is being treated at the BRI for terminal cancer. It is an emotional and stressful time for us as a family so we are looking for a compassionate, creative carer who can be flexible in terms of time. A mature and experienced person will be appreciated as our situation is very sensitive. Children are bright, lively and affectionate with no behavioural issues.
Post is temporary and dependent on how many weeks my son continues to respond to treatment so difficult to predict. As a family we value cuddles and creativity over strict routine especially as this is such a disruptive and upsetting time. There will be a small amount of home tutoring for my 5 year old who is temporarily estranged from school and is keen to continue her passion for learning to read and write. Hours will be week days part time during the day most of the time though may require the occasional overnight stay.
