Dear Au pair We are looking for a likeable young person (age 19-24, native English), we can not only entrust our two children to but is also motivated to support our little family through our daily routine. In return we offer a pleasant environment in our home and will do everything to integrate you in our family life. Nevertheless you will have your own space: Separate bed- and bathroom as well as the necessary freedom to shape and spend your spare time. This is what you will get • Support to extend your language skills as well as to get to know the Swiss culture • 12-24 months job contract • Salary and holidays in line with Swiss regulations as well as board and lodging • Coverage of health and accident insurance as well as Swiss taxes and contribution to public transport cost • Weekly working schedule that allows you to attend a language course as well as coverage of any corresponding fees We are a family of four people. Our first born son Constantine will turn four in February 2017 and our daughter Leonie was born in May 2016. We are looking for someone who will be available from beginning of January 2017 and is willing to spend 12-24 months with us. I work on an 80% contract (Monday off), my husband works 100%, but is flexible to work from home 1-2 days per week. We live in the greater area of Zurich (Egg). Zurich is reachable by public transport in 20 minutes. You will benefit from both a lovely countryside as well as a big city with international flair nearby.
Your main task will be to look after our two children. Roughly, a working week will look as follows: • Saturday – Monday: usually days off • Tuesday: Both children at home to be looked after • Wednesday: One child to be looked after • Thursday – Friday: Both children will be in the crèche; you will bring and pick them up. Additionally you will take care of light household chores such as: o Preparing meals for the children and participation in the preparation of family meals o Doing the laundry and ironing o Hoovering o Keeping your own living room as well as the children's rooms and lounge neat and tidy o Doing some errands We shall ensure that the weekly working time does not exceed 35 hours, but will take the liberty of asking for additional support (e.g. babysitting) during weekends/ evenings from time to time, always respecting the working hours agreed.
