We are an Australian/Colombian family that has relocated from Asia to Colombia. Simon works in medical research and Johanna runs a specialised dental supplies company. We have three children, one boy and two girls. They are Elvis (aged 11), Ivy-Jean (aged 10) and Kinze (aged 3). We are a fun, generous and active family that like to participate in many different activities. The children love playing different sports and games, as well as being involved in operations around the household like cooking and (occasionally) cleaning. We like to travel and experience new things, and are very keen to explore our new surroundings in Medellin and beyond. Medellin is fast shedding its controversial reputation from 30 years ago. The city has taken on many transformation projects is now seen as one of the most progressive cities in Latin America. Set in the Aburrá Valley and surrounded by soaring green mountains, Medellin is an ideal place to live. The weather is springlike year-round (25-30 Celsius everyday), and its people outgoing and proud of their city. Our neighbourhood is very safe, and is a great place for young people to find fun and entertainment. There are great restaurants and bars in the vicinity, and plenty of nightspots to partake in dancing - with salsa being the number one choice for most. There are also great shopping centres within walking distance, as well as parks, museums and a great public transport system. We require an au pair fluent in both Spanish and English. Supervising and playing with our 3 year old, managing the older children's school and social schedules, assisting with homework and social activities, helping all the children with the Spanish language, playing games or fun activities with all the children, driving children to activities on occasions, supervising the children chores, assisting with housework when required
