We are a married Swedish/Brazilian couple in search of a native Swedish speaking Au-Pair to help improve the language skills of our five-year old daughter. We live in a 4-bedroom penthouse located one block from the best beach in Rio de Janeiro. I think this opening line from Lonely Planet serves as a good intro to our city: There's no other place like Rio. It's a combination of many things that I find so captivating: walking through parks inside the city and seeing monkeys and toucans; spending the evening catching music jams around Lapa; joining a few friends amid the roaring crowds at Maracanã; or greeting the sunrise (after an early morning or late night) from Copacabana Beach. In moments like these you realize you're hooked. I also love the carioca spirit: spontaneous and good-natured, with the urge to live life to the fullest. Our daughter Julia has daycare between mid day and 18.00. She is full of positive energy and a very happy child. Besides daycare she dances ballet, attend swimming and tennis classed on a regular basis.
We would like you to spend a few hours with here before school starts and also to follow her to ballet, swimming and tennis classes before dropper her off at daycare. At 18.00 you would pick her up and accompany her home and spend time with her until bedtime when you will tuck her in bed while hopefully reading some Swedish child books. Besides this we would like you to participate in soft home services like assisting in cleaning her room up and sometimes light cooking for her. You will work Monday to Friday like this and every other Saturday.
