Our family is my husband and two kids , boy (10 years and girl (7years) and me. We life about 30 minutes outside Barcelona. We have a small house where you would have your own sleeping room. The place where we live is called Abrera and has very good train connections to downtown Barcelona. We are looking for an Au pair that start after the Easter until the middle of July more or less.
Your job as an Au pair would be mainly to be around the kids. From Easter to the End of June they get up 8:00 and start the school at 9:00. They stay in the school from 9:00 until 16:30, then principally you have to bring them to the school and pick up. After the school some days they have extra things, music, football, etc. or if they don’t have anything you can go with them to the park and help them to made the homework. Javi and me work, from 8-18:00 more or less for this reason we need someone that take care of the kids during this time. We don’t want that you made the housekeeping work but at least you must do the same of the rest of the family, we all have our jobs assigned and the idea is that you become part of the family. From the time that school finish at the end of June until middle or final of July the idea is that you take care of them all the day, but this time is summer and the kids wake up late, around 10:00 and also you can spend time in the swimming pool , etc.. We could help to improve your Spanish but it isn’t necessary that you speak Spanish at the beginning, also we prefer it. We would appreciate if our kids and we could practice English with you.
