Dear Aupair. We are two sisters who have the same educative programme for our children. Said project, of course, includes learning English. Having analysed the available options we have come to the conclusion that the best way to achieve this goal is to have an English-speaking student stay in our home, in this way our children will not only learn the language but take part in a cultural exchange which will be an enriching experience for all involved. We have confidence in this plan as we have already had four girls come to stay in our houses (two of whom are here at the moment) and the experience has been very satisfactory for all. Harriet, Joey, Molly and Issy already form a part of our families. Having stated the motive for our offer we will now present the two families involved. Starting with the GONZALEZ-SANCHÍS family: made up of four people. The father, Vicente is 46 and works as a businessman in the filed of hydrocarbons; the mother, Rosa is 41 and works as a housewife; the older son, Vicente is 14 and studies the ESO course in secondary school, he is very studious and loves playing both football and video games; finally Maria, she is 11 years old and has just finished her studies at primary school (she will be starting her secondary studies in September), like her brother she is very applied in her studies, she enjoys swimming and above all going out with friends. Therefore the GONZALEZ-SANCHÍS family is a very organised one which enjoys home life. On the other hand we have the SÁEZ-SANCHÍS family, made up of five people. The father, Wagner is 47 and works
What type of person we are looking for: The most important quality we are looking for in our Aupair is that they LOVE children, this is essential, if this is not the case nothing will work. They should be kind, responsible and respectful with an ability to make conversation easily. If you do not possess these qualities please do not come to stay with us as the experience will not be satisfactory or enjoyable for anyone. What work you will be expected to do within the family: It is very simple, you will teach English to our children and to ourselves. Nothing more. How it will work, you will live for some time with the GONZALEZ-SANCHÍS family and some time with the SÁEZ-SANCHÍS family, two different perspectives but with the same objective. Given that the period which we want to cover is, to start with, from October to December we will lay out for you what life is like day to day at this time of year. The children go to school in the mornings; the four older ones until two o'clock and Jorge until twelve thirty and in the afternoon again until five o'clock. This means that while the children are in school you are free to do whatever activities you would like, sport, reading, walking, learning Spanish (it is a wonderful opportunity) etc. We will help you with anything that you need. When the children come home from school, lunch and dinner will be, of course, with the family so that you can take the opportunity to speak English with the children. In this way they will be learning English everyday without having to dedicate time to studying. As well as this time we will organise some time to have classes and practice English with each of them, in conjunction with their academic work and other activities. Their free time and time during extra-curricular activities can also be used to speak English with them in a relaxed and enjoyable way. At weekends we have more time to go out and enjoy ourselves. You can use this time to normalise their learning of English without any effort for anyone. You, of course, should always speak English with the children, no Spanish. Our agreement therefore, is that if you decide to come live with us you will be able to learn Spanish, live as a Spaniard, and enjoy our food and culture. You will become another member of our family and the time you spend with us will be an unforgettable experience for everyone. In fact we want you to to feel more at home in our houses than in your own. If you meet the said conditions and try hard we are sure you will have no regrets in coming to live with us.
