We are a Swedish family living in a Swiss village 15 minutes away from Lausanne centre, with 3 children, 10, 8 and 6 years old. We are looking for a positive and energetic person to take care of our children while we work. Drivers license is necessary and at least basic French is a great plus. We speak Swedish, English and French at home and wish the person to stay for a year. This makes it easier for the children and gives the au-pair time to learn a language properly as well as get friends for life. Lausanne has an international environment, great access to fantastic skiing, a great cultural scene and easy access to finding likeminded friends.
Part of the au-pair job is to be a friend of the children, ensuring they are feeling well, are occupied and have a good time. On the more serious and daily note it means to make sure the children are equipped and on time for their daily activities such as school, friends, birthday parties, swimming etc. The children will come home for lunch. Household work can be taken care of while the children are at school.
