Dear Au-pair, **** WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN AUPAIR TO START FROM 9TH AUGUST 2017 . ITALIAN OR CZECH SPEAKING WITH BASIC LEVEL OF ENGLISH. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU :) **** We are a family of 4. Dad is from Italy, mum from Czech Republic and 2 children: girl (5y) and boy (3y). We speak english, italian and czech in our house. Our current aupair is leaving us in July 2017. We are looking for someone to start from 9th August 2017, to help us care for our children while we are at work Mon-Fri. We both work full time. Mum works 10 mins away from home, dad in London, both office based. Both children are very joyful, energetic, love making art or spending time outdoors. Denise goes to school Monday to Friday 8.00-15.00 and Thomas goes to nursery Monday to Friday 7.30 - 13.00. Our aim is that both of them speak the 3 languages. Both of them are learning all 3 languages, but them speak mainly english, that;s why we would like you to speak to them in Italian or Czech at home, but happy if you speak English with them when you are out and about with them.
Our 'ideal' au-pair should be kind, reliable, energetic and someone who likes spending time with children and to interact with them, teach them creativity but also teach them independence and respect one for another . Non smoker preferable. Start date from 9th August 2017 for the length of 12 months with a 3 week termination notice. The main duties will be taking children to and from the nursery / school , and looking after them in the afternoons until we get back from work (mum back at 16.45h). You will be needed Monday to Friday, weekends free to yourself. We ask for babysitting one/two night a week, and sometimes Friday or Saturday night once or twice a month. Your working hours will be standard between 30/35 hrs a week. We offer four-weeks of paid leave in a 12-month period, holiday schedule to be coordinated and discussed with the parents. In addition, you will NOT be asked to work on bank holidays (8 days per year). The duties will include some light housework for example emptying the dishwasher and making the children's beds each day, keeping tidy the areas children use daily such as their bedroom, kitchen/dining room, bathroom etc. You will have your own bedroom with a single bed, wardrobe , TV and a desk. You will share a bathroom with the children. some more info... We live in Reigate, small town in Surrey (about 30 mins train journey south of London). The town has a traditional high street with many shops, cafes and restaurants, 2 night clubs. Reigate has plenty of parks and things to do for you and the children. Redhill and Crawley are nearby and worth visiting. East Surrey College is close by. They do different levels of English language courses and other courses too . Our house is a 3 bedroom house with a lounge and kitchen/family room and a garden. There is a lovely private park with green field and bushes just in front of the house which we use daily for running around, jumping on the trampoline or just explore the bushes. We live in very safe neighborhood. I would like you to know that I too was an au-pair ( for 6 years) in the past and have an understanding how it feels to become a part of a new family and to be so far from your own family. We will do everything possible to make your stay with us pleasant and welcoming and hopefully build a friendship for life. I still keep in contact with my hosting families. :)
