Dear au pair, we are looking for an friendly, energetic and caring au pair to join our family. We are a busy family of 3 girls and mum and dad. Our girls are energetic, enjoy lots of activities and have loved having a " big sister" as an au pair previously. We need some help as mum is going back to work. We are looking for someone who is keen to be part of the family, yet who also enjoys their own space and time. We offer your own room, separate bathroom, wifi and our home is located on there lower north shore of Sydney close to all of Sydney's great attractions. Public transport is easy and there are cafés etc near by. More about us; Zoe is turning 10 this year. Loves soccer, tennis, hanging out with her friends and cooking. Astrid is turning 8 this year and loves ballet, dancing, singing, animals and reading books. Neave, " the baby" is very funny ( in a cute way, not a brat way!). She is a really chatting, gorgeous little girl, adores her big sisters, love playing shops, dolls and reading. Tim runs his own business and has a detached office from the house. He is probably there about 30% of his time! but is beavering away in his office. Ange is in Human Resources in a role in the city. The whole family love skiing, spending time together, cycling, tennis, cafés and travelling.
The role involves looking after Neave 2 days per week, and for the other days helping the big girls get ready for school and caring for them after school including helping them with homework, making lunches and packing bags, checking what need to accompany them to school, driving them to/ from activities. We also require some light housework ( we have a housekeeper) which involves packing the dishwasher, cooking simple meals, tidying up, some washing. The girls have a list of chores the do for pocket money and we would require our au pair to remind them sometimes to complete the tasks ( e.g. Set the table, clear the table, unpack their bags and so on). We would also ask the au pair to contribute as part of the family e.g. Helping us all Clear the table, helping wash up sometimes. We are a Christian family. we don't expect you to be a Christian but understand our values and not hold conflicting values. We think we are a flexible and supportive family and expect our au pair to pay respect to the role and our family, as we will to you.
