We are an easy going family with lots happening in our weekly routines. We are looking for an au pair to be a big sister for our two boys. We are looking for a kind and loving person to help look after our children and join our family. We live in a beautiful rural town with all the conveniences of a city but also have access to a wonderful farm 20 mins from town where the boy’s grandparents live. We have hosted a few au pairs over the years and really enjoy the opportunity to meet new people from across the globe, get to know their culture and traditional cooking (Mum Kirsty loves to cook new dishes) and aid in your experience of seeing a new country. We are a family of four living in Orange, New South Wales. Our two children Austin, 5 years is in Kindergarten (in Australia this is the first year of school) and Dylan 14 months are beautiful and the centre of our lives. Austin (we think) is hilarious and loves dressing up and playing any number of super hero or make believe games but is also starting to get interested in playing team sport at school. He has just started learning the piano and has weekly swimming lessons – so he is quite busy. He loves his brother and is very protective and caring with him. Dylan (we think) is a bit of a performer as well, at the moment he is very good at calling his mother with BIG tears and then BIG smiles as soon as he is picked up. We are looking forward to you becoming part of our family for 6+ months. We need you to primarily look after Dylan during the day whilst I (Kirsty) work from home 5 days per week. This will include bathing, changing, preparing food and feeding. You will also be required to walk Austin to the bus stop in the mornings and meet him in the afternoons. Some days you will be required to drive to school and do other jobs with the children in the car – once you are comfortable driving in Australia. During the school holidays you will be required to look after Austin and take him to school holiday activities. Unless we go away or take holidays, in which case you will be given the option to join us on our holiday or take some time for yourself to travel. You will be asked to help in the weekly chores and depending on your preference you will be asked to cook (if you wish) or help with the clean-up (if you are not interested in cooking). If you are interested in music or paly any instrument we would love to hear about it and have you play with us.
