I am a single mum working for a local mining company as a Communities Specialist - my job is demanding and it is important to me that the kids are able to maintain their routine despite my reactive job which can require me to be away over night at times and work long hours at times. Outside of work I am an active person who enjoys sport and nature and quality time with my kids. We either spend our weekends exploring Kakadu and Arnhemland or in Darwin playing sport and spending time with friends. I have a house in Darwin which we stay at most weekends and am happy for the Au Pair to either do their own thing on weekends or travel to Darwin with us. I am looking for a mature person who can assist in maintaining the rountine in the house when I am not around and provide support in the home on a daily basis when I am there. I would like someone who is responsible and enjoys undertaking activities and having fun with the kids after school. Jabiru is a small town but beautiful, friendly and safe.
Assistance with getting kids ready for school 7.30 am to 8.20 am, walking kids to school each morning, after school care from 3 pm til 6 pm Monday-Friday. One solo care night a week when I am required to be in Darwin for work overnight and one night a week for two hours whilst I play sport. Assist kids with homework after school (no activities until their homework is complete) and prepare meals for the kids and yourself so that they are eating by 6.30 pm each night. Though I will be home in time and want to do this sometimes. I will do bath and bed each night that I am home. General house work, kitchen, mop floors and oversee kids cleaning their room once a week. You will be able to come to Darwin with us on weekends if you wish and either be part of what we are doing or spend that time away from the family.
