Au-pair role available in London** We are a warm, friendly and easy going London based family, looking for a kind au-pair to join us.
About the Neighborhood: Central London 3 bedroom house with a nice big garden. Transport in the area is excellent. There are bus stops and train station a few minutes away, providing easy access to central London. The area boasts a number of parks and green spaces and is a very safe, family friendly area. The High Street which is about a 3 minute walk away is lively and has a variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs, boutiques, bars, bakeries, Tesco etc opposite the village green. The family: I will be working as a Senior Manger at Amazon in busy central London office and my husband is Head of UK AMS at Amazon. My girls are 5 and 10-very chatty, considerate, loving and lively. The like lots of cuddles, kisses and will do whatever you ask them to do nicely :) Their good qualities: Kind, respectful, very loving and happy Their bad qualities: Messy and little lost Kaira is nearly 10 years old. She is shy, very well mannered, very helpful and sensitive. Kavya is 5 year old. She is full of energy, talkative and active. We are originally from India and have been in the U.K from over 7-8 years now. We are professionals, very respectful, kind and well mannered. We are a happy, easy going family and we are willing to give you the support, respect and privacy you deserve as you join us. We will never enter your room at any time and you are welcome to spend your free time as you choose-you can travel, sleep, meet friends, study or sleep. Family rules: No boyfriends allowed in the house when you are alone in the house esp when you are with girls. You are always welcome to invite your girl- friends/family in the house but you must take our permission when doing so. No smoking, drinking, watching adult programs etc in-front of the girls. I also request you to cook/buy meals(esp on weekdays for you, yourself). Reason: We as a family have very simple breakfast( cereals)+ lunch outside at work/school and for dinner I am a sporadic cook and do not want you to be dependent on me). I will be paying you a separate pocket money for this every week. You are welcome to come home late/go out for weekends ( no deadlines etc) etc, but please do not make too much noise/disturb us or the neighbors when you so. Please let me know well in advance of when you plan to travel/take holidays/ go home. Please always knock our (couple) bedrooms when you enter. If we are in the living room( only in the evenings will we use it), it would be great if you could give us some privacy as a couple then in the evenings. We in-turn will never enter your bedroom without asking and knocking you or ever bother you at all in the evenings/weekends give you all the privacy that you deserve. You are also more than welcome to enjoy your meals in private at anytime as we are more of TV dining family.. Hours and Pay- We do not expect you to work more than 32 hours in a week+ (occasional/flexible) 2 hours of baby-sitting in evenings in any weekend. Hours can be either 9.00 am- 3.00 pm or from 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm on holidays. My father would be joining us from 10th July-10th August and I will be taking leave for some other days in August. Our focus, however would be my elder daughter who is 10 ys old and prepping and teaching her for the 11+ exam this year. Nightouts/Weekends: Not ever more than once in any week will we do( depending on your convienece ) either a night-out (2-3 hours) or a 2-3 hour help in babysitting on a weekend. We rarely go out on either of the above if we do that, it will be with sufficient notice. So you will have all evenings and weekends free. You can choose to study/work/ rest during your private time and we will not disturb you. We will always accommodate everything around your choice and preference for these once a week babysitting on an evening/weekends . Other household work: I expect your help in keeping the kitchen tidy(15-20 min max in a day), taking out the dishes from the dishwasher etc, keeping the children's clothes in washing machine( I wash them), picking up the kids clothes and ironing their uniform etc. I also expect you to help me vacuum clean/dust around the house 2 days a week. I will do this cleaning on all other 5 days. I do not expect you to do a deep clean but more of helping around with light, basic cleaning and keeping it running and tidy :) Pay: We will pay you 90 pounds per week for this. We also pay you an additional 20 pounds so you can buy and cook your own food if you choose. Welcoming you to London- Once you let me know when you are coming to London, we will pick you up/pay for your journey to our home. We will give you a few days to help settle down in our home and London and make friends with the girls. You will also meet a lot of au-pairs who stay in the area and can meet them.
