Dear Au Pair, We have a crisis in the family, when the family's father past away in December, after an accident. Mother has also broken bones, but can move easily around and doesn't need personal care. She has some pain occasionally which makes it hard for her to do housework and take care of the baby alone. She's also unable to lift heavier things; for example also the baby. The mother is my sister, and I am helping her to find a person whom could help us in this situation. The baby boy is just turning 1 year old. Very happy and brisk boy! He is very easy child. We currently have a nanny for daytimes, at least in the end of this month. This nanny is provided for us by the social services. The social services weren't able to provide us a nanny for around the clock. My sister would need someone around also for nights with the baby, as if there's a situation she would have to lift him etc. Usually the baby sleeps well all night. What the social services suggested was, that some other family could take care of the baby boy until the mother gets better. We would prefer if possible to find help, that the baby stays home with the mother. I'll be able to help around occasionally, if you have plans for some days etc. Also grandparents live near by, and they'll be able to help too when needed. So it is more than fine if you can not be around some evenings/nights or weekends!
We'd need some help with the housework and childcare. We're looking for a person, whom could be around as much as possible. Of course we're not expecting you to do work 24/7 ! We already have a nanny for 8 hours per day (no weekends / nights). We can negotiate and arrange the schedules with you, so you will have your own time during the day / evening. Mother can play with the baby, but can not be alone with him when unable to lift him. Also she can give a hand within the house keeping. We would need someone to start as soon as possible; January or early February. Someone whom can stay at least for a month. We will only include European citizen, which will be easier for us. All details are negotiable and arrangeable! If you wish to come for a visit to Finland, and be a part of our family please write a short message for me. WE WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU: Own room, meals, everything for basic needs, travel card for public transport or a car to use. We can also drive you to places from time to time!
