We are a close family of five (and one lovely cat called Henry), with two working parents. We work in the fields of humanitarian law and public health. We both work hard but home is where both our hearts are and we have built a warm, loving nest. We make sure at least one of us is home relatively early each day to spend quality time with the kids and cook a good meal. Over the years we have come to apppreciate an extra hand very much to ensure us peace of mind, our kids the opportunity to spend shorter time in day care/school and more time at home, and the enriching experience of having a new carer. The kids are (and we are sure all parents say this but ours truly are) well behaved, funny, curious, trusting and adorable (although very different). We are looking for a reliable, fun loving at times but also tranquil, caring person we can trust with our most precious...
The job of the aupair will consist mostly of ensuring a peace-full afternoon for the three kids. This means picking the half year old baby up from the creche at 1400, and the two older ones at 1530 from school (just around the corner from where we live). They'll need a listening ear, a snack and a drink and some play time. We are home by 1730/1800 to take over. There is no housework as we have a cleaning lady, but we do expect our aupair to chip in during the week together with us; clearing up toys together with the kids, clearing up the table,preparing dinner for the kids, emptying the dishwasher in the morning... We live in a roomy city house, close to the center, and there is a big room/studio with internet and television connection and your own shower/toilet at your disposal.
