My husband and I have recently immigrated from South Africa to the Netherlands with our baby. We are both chemical engineers and work for shell in Amsterdam. We would like to employ and aupair from the first of October to look after our little daughter Lucie while we are at work. Tyrone and I are fairly relaxed & easy going and enjoy cultural activites and cycling. We also have 2 cats. We are looking for a gentle, calm person to look after our baby. Lucie is very friendly and a happy baby and enjoys the company of other people and children.
The successful applicant would be solely responsible for Lucie from 7h30 to 17h00. She would feed her breakfast, change her, play with her, take her for walks and bath her on some days. The au pair would not need to help with Lucie over the week-ends or in the evenings when we are home. The aupair would need to help with keeping Lucie's clothing and room tidy, washing her food bowls during the day and baby related cleaning. The aupair would also need to keep the parents informed of any problems i.e. illnesses. The aupair may on occasion be required to do some shopping for the baby and possibly cook for Lucie too.
