We are a nice and easy-going family looking for an au pair to join family and helping with every day life. Our family consists of Anu 36 years, Saku 37 years, two children and a dog. Our daughter Vilma is 7 years and just starting her first class in elementary school. Our son Jermu is 5 years and he is still in kindergarten. Both of them have been past two years in partly engish speaking kindergarden, so they are able to communicate little in english. Vilma does gymnastics and Jermu likes to play football and icehockey. Both of them also like swimming. The newest member of our family is a 4 month old shetlands sheepdog, Shira. We live in Espoo. Our house is in a nice and peacefull neighbourhoold, with many other families with small children. There's a nice nature preserve park only about 5-10 minutes walk away (next to sea). There are also many other nice walking/cykling routes around. We live near to a train stop, where it takes about 30-40 minutes to centre of Helsinki by train. We are welcoming an au pair to be part of our family and every day life. We hope that you are willing to take part on hobbies and interest and we are eager to learn about yours. At the end if you are reliable, honest, friendly, social and enjoy being with kids (and dogs) and can imagine yourself living in Finland as a part of our family, please contact us and tell a bit more about yourself.
We mainly need an au pair to help us in the mornings when children are going to school / daycare and in the afternoons to pick them up and cook or warm up some dinner. This is not required every day, depends on our schedules. And you do not need to be a chef, just basic cooking skills are enough :) Sometimes we need help in then evenings to take children to their hobbies. That's why it would be important that you have a drivers license and you are comfortable of driving here. We hope that you do not mind doing some housework as vacuuming, laundry and keeping the kitchen tidy. And also watching that kids will clean up and tidy after themselves when you are with them. The shousework you are able to do whenever it best suits for you. Therefore you are also able to take finnish lessons or other studies during a day if you wish. Normally you would have the weekends free, but you are of course welcome to join our family activities then. Anyway we can be quite flexible with the schedules and we would hope that you can also be flexible if needed.
