Family of 3, my husband and I are in our early 40's and our daughter Sofia is 7. We live in a 2-story house, upstair to my parents, who're very helpful taking care of Sofia. I'm a registered counselor, my husband is an engineer. Before we became a family we both lived abroad and we got married in California. We live in Cremona, a 80.000 people town in north Italy, the world capital of violin making. By train or car we can easily reach Milan, Verona, Mantova, Parma, Piacenza, the Garda lake, Venice, Bologna and Florence. Alpine region is easily reachable for skiing or trekking. We are also members of a large country club. A bike is always available. Our apartment has two bathrooms, one of which for exclusive use of the au-pair. She will also have her own bedroom (it's Sofia's room, but she will sleep with us). Whenever possible we would like to take the au-pair with us to our seaside houses in Sardinia island or Sanremo (Italian riviera, close to the French riviera). Sofia loves to go out to play, to drow, to play with Barbies and to create jewels or objects with paper and glue. She is very much independent and comunicative. She is already used to the company of English speaking people, as we have had aupairs (who didn't speak Italian but only English). Sofia understands well and speaks some English, and she gets along very well with English speaking au-pairs. WE WANT TO GROW UP A BILINGUAL DOUGHTER, SO WE NEED A GIRL WHO LIKES TO SPEAK WITH CHILDREN
AT THE MOMENT WE'RE LOOKING FOR AN ENGLISH OR SPANISH MOTHER TONGUE FOR THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD, FOR SOME WEEKS FROM ABOUT 26 DECEMBER. IN THIS PERIOD THE AU_PAIR SHOULD PLAY WITH SOFIA SPEAKING ONLY SPANISH OR ENGLISH AND WE'D OLSO LIKE TO TAKE HER TO GARDASEE FOR A SHORT HOLIDAY. We'd like to host an au-pair for about one month in winter and from June to September. We are looking for AN ENGLISH MOTHER TONGUE GIRL WHO'S STUDING TO WORK WITH CHILDREN AND WHO SPEAKS ONLY ENGLISH WITH SOFIA AND ME, to speed up Sofia's and my fluency of English and Spanish language. More than a baby-sitter, we would like to meet a girl who becomes part of our family, just like the other au-pairs who stayed with us. She'll have her own bedroom and bathroom. During summer we'll be working for a period and the kindergarden is closed, so the au-pair will stay with Sofia from about 8.40 a.m. to about 4.40 p.m. in those days. The time with Sofia might be spent either indoor or in the close-by public playground or at our country club. I'd also like to spend some time with the au-pair, for a cheat chat in English.
