We are a happy, warm and fun family looking for a kind, caring and enthusiastic au pair/nanny to become part of our family. I am a widowed single father with two children, a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 7. I work as a professional banker in the City of London, which can mean long and sometimes unpredictable working days. Having someone reliable and caring to help with the children is therefore really important to us. The children are both happy, friendly and energetic. They love being outdoors, playing, sport, exploring and having fun. They are very much typical active children and we enjoy a busy family life, but our home is relaxed, welcoming and informal. For me, the most important thing is that the children are happy, feel safe, cared for and loved. I am looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children and will become a trusted and positive person in their lives. Ideally, you will enjoy getting involved with them — playing, chatting, helping with homework and routines, taking them to activities and simply being someone they enjoy spending time with. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, responsible, fun and has a good sense of humour. We want our au pair/nanny to feel that they are joining a family, rather than simply coming to work. In return, we will make sure you feel welcome, respected and valued, and have plenty of your own time to enjoy life in the UK. Our lifestyle We also want to be completely open about an important part of our family lifestyle. We are a naturist family. Naturism is a normal and comfortable part of our lives and something we enjoy together. We enjoy travelling and take several holidays each year, including holidays at naturist resorts in Europe. We would ideally like our au pair/nanny to accompany us on some of these trips, helping with the children and sharing in the family holiday experience. We appreciate that naturism may be completely new to some people, and we are very happy to answer any questions or talk openly about it. It is important to us that anyone joining our family is genuinely comfortable and open-minded about our lifestyle. There would never be any pressure to do anything that makes you uncomfortable, and we would much rather have an open conversation about any questions or concerns before you join us. Above all, we are looking for someone who is caring, trustworthy, fun and responsible, and who will enjoy building a genuine relationship with our children. We hope to find someone who will become a valued part of our family and look back on their time with us as a really happy experience.
The main role of our au pair/nanny is to help me with the children and become a caring and trusted part of their everyday lives. This will include helping with the morning routine, taking the children to and from their nearby independent school, taking them to school clubs and activities, preparing simple meals and snacks, helping with homework and making sure they are happy, safe and well cared for. We would also appreciate help with keeping the children's bedrooms and belongings tidy, and making sure their clothes and school things are prepared for the following day. We have a cleaner who takes care of the house, so there is no general housework or cleaning expected. The children are at independent school during the day, so there will be plenty of free time when they are at school for you to relax, study, exercise, meet friends, explore the local area or pursue your own interests. Accommodation & pay You will have private top-floor accommodation within our home, giving you a great deal of personal space and privacy. The entire top floor is for your own use and includes your own private bedroom, private bathroom and an additional reception room which you can use as your own living space. Although this is your private area, you are very welcome to use the rest of the house at any time and we would want you to feel completely at home and part of the family. The position is offered at £500 per week, in addition to the accommodation provided. Holidays & family life The role will also include accompanying us on some family holidays, including trips to Europe and naturist resorts, where you would help with the children and be part of the family holiday experience. We are a naturist family and feel it is important to be completely open about this from the outset. Naturism is a normal and comfortable part of our family life. We understand that this may be unfamiliar to some people, and we are very happy to answer any questions or discuss any concerns openly and respectfully. There would never be any pressure to do anything you are not comfortable with. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children, is warm, caring and responsible, and wants to make a positive difference to their everyday lives. We hope to find someone who will become a valued part of our family, while also enjoying a good level of independence, privacy, free time and the opportunity to experience life in the UK.
