We are a warm, busy, and organized family of five living in Westchester County, New York. We have three wonderful children (ages 12, 10, and 8) who are active, respectful, and involved in sports and activities such as school events, sports practices, and creative activities. As parents, we value kindness, respect, communication, and teamwork. We believe an au pair becomes part of our daily life, and we aim to create a supportive, structured, and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected. We are looking for a mature, responsible, and proactive au pair who truly enjoys being with children and understands the importance of consistency and routine. A strong driver is very important, as daily driving is part of the job. We value someone who is organized, attentive, patient, and able to take initiative without needing constant reminders. We appreciate honesty, professionalism, and clear communication. We would love someone who is caring but also understands boundaries and respects family routines.
The au pair’s main responsibility is helping care for our three children and supporting our daily routines. Typical responsibilities include: • Driving children to and from school and after-school activities • Helping with homework and keeping children organized for their daily schedules • Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children • Helping keep children’s areas tidy (bedrooms, backpacks, sports gear) • Assisting with children’s laundry • Supporting morning and afternoon routines • Occasionally supervising children during activities or playtime The schedule typically includes morning hours before school and afternoon hours after school, with evenings occasionally as needed. Some weekend help will also be required, but we make every effort to provide most weekends off and always discuss schedules in advance. Driving is a very important part of this role, so confidence and experience driving are required.
