My husband is a software engineer, and I am a stylist, although I have not been able to work much since having my son. I am hoping to be able to start working from home more once we have an au pair. We are a multi national family. My husband grew up in Morocco and came here at eighteen for college and decided to stay because he met me. I have lived here all my life. We have a twenty month old son who is very social and energetic. He never stops running around and trying to have conversations with everyone he meets. We are a practicing Muslim family, and are looking for a practicing Muslim au pair. We are also ideally looking for an au pair from Morocco to give my son more exposure to the culture, especially language, so he can communicate better with our family in Morocco. We have three well behaved cats who mostly do their own thing except asking for occasional cuddles.
We would like someone who can build a strong family like bond with our son and us. We are hoping for someone who would be open to staying the extended 2 year maximum with our family, but we are flexible. We would like someone to start in May. We need someone wanting to come into our household with the mindset of collaborating day to day with mom in all things childcare, cooking and cleaning. Each day will look a bit different in terms of what tasks need done, so there will always be open clear communication. There will be a set but flexible schedule of work hours. According to the national au pair laws, the hours will not exceed 45 hours per week, or 10 hours per day. Because of our Muslim household values, we are looking for someone who does not drink or smoke. Modesty between genders is also important to our family values, so we would request you dress conservatively when you are outside of your own room. Our au pair will of course have their own bedroom and easy access to a bathroom and shower. We have strong Wi-Fi, and have a laptop that can be borrowed if needed. You will of course always have access to the kitchen and are welcome to help yourself to any food in the fridge or pantry, and request specific groceries.
