(CONTACT DETAILS DELETED) Hi, We're a couple with a daughter named Claudia of four years-old that will turn five in August. We live in a lovely and sunny apartment in Barcelona of almost one hundred square meters with four rooms, two bathrooms and balcony all around the ap. We live ten minutes from the beach and twenty downtown with metro, and we have free access to a private swimmimg pool one block from our appartment. We're looking for an au pair who could stay with us almost two months this summer, starting in June until September fourth or fifth.
We would like a person to take care of our daughter Mon to Fri in the morning, thirty hours per week, and will have weekends off. This will be the standard schedule, if any exceptional situation arises we will discuss it when it comes. We wish that this person doesn't speak Spanish or has an elementary level and has native English. The aupair will bring her to activities that we could suggest (which can involve taking the bus or metro) or go to beach, swimming pool, park, go for a walk with the bicycle or prepare activities or crafts to do together. A normal day would be to stay with Claudia once she wakes up, help her dress, have breakfast, and do fun games or activities until lunch time. The main task is to take care of our daughter and play with her. The Au Pair should also help with light household chores, for example cleaning the table or making our daughter bed. We have a cleaning lady that does all the cleaning and ironing, we don't expect that the au pair cleans but just what it refers to our daughter if she has to cook or heat meal or tidy the things which have been used to play or make the bed. Or if it happens to hang on the washing machine as we could do the same for her. The tasks that the Au Pair would perform - Play with our daughter - Carry her to activities - Heating food. In case of cooking it would be something very simple for our daugher e.g. an omelette or boiling pasta. - Keep Claudia's room clean and in order, and tidy the things that have been used to play, making her bed (Claudia can do it as well) - In some occasions it could be hanging the clothing from the washing machine - Light shopping if that's the case, not as regular as we'll take care - Empty the dish washer if it's the case If you like kids we think it's an easy and fun "work".
