We are a family of four Frank and Alec (dads), and Xavier and Barney (our 2.5 year old twin sons). Frank is originally from Melbourne and Alec is Canadian, but Sydney is our home. We’re looking for someone to start in December this year as we’re moving back to Sydney after spending two years in Queensland for Frank’s work. Frank works as an executive in the insurance industry and Alec is a lawyer. We both have fairly unpredictable hours so having someone who is flexible and adaptable is a must. That said, we are looking to get our boys into full time preschool starting in January so there will be substantial free time during the day once they are back in school. Mornings and evenings will be your core working hours once the boys are back in school in January. The start of December will be very busy as both Frank and I are starting new jobs in Sydney and finalising our move, but we intend to spend the holidays up in Sunshine Beach at our home in Queensland on vacation (December 22 to 1 January). Our home in Sydney is in Paddington, and our home in Queensland is in Sunshine Beach, near Noosa. We will try and spend one or two weekends a month in Sunshine Beach and would like our au pair to travel with us. We are looking for an au pair that has an active, healthy lifestyle that matches ours, is adaptable and flexible, enjoys to cook, and is comfortable with a caring for two very busy, active twin two year old boys. It goes without saying that being completely comfortable living and working with an LGBTI family is a must.
Daily outings with Xavier and Barney; Cooking all meals for boys and sometimes dinner for Frank and Alec; Household laundry; Light household duties (cleaning up after boys, taking out garbage, filling/emptying dishwasher etc.) Note we have a cleaner that will come once per week to do heavier housework; Unpacking groceries and light grocery shopping as required, ensuring food in fridge is fresh;
