My name is Charlotte, I am French and my husband is Rudolf who is English, we live in a beautiful location in the south of France (Pau) near the Pyrenees. We have 2 children, Chloe (4 in October) and Jack (1 in May) and have recently made the decision to look at the option of an au pair. My husband works part time for an NGO (Telecoms Sans Frontieres) whilst I run my own business from home. Whilst we are still discussing the full remit for any prospective au pair we very much see this person as extension of the family helping with childcare (mainly Jack as Chloe is at school 4 days per week) and day to day chores. Whilst we live in the country the nearest village is 5 mins and the nearest city is 15 mins by car, Spain is 1 hour away over the Pyrenees and the west coast is 1hr 15mins west of us (Biarritz). We have a large house and gardens with a Pool and stunning view of the Pyrenees and a duplex on the beach which we regularly use in the warmer months. We enjoy Mountain Walks, Cycling, Kayaking, Skiing (40 mins away) and the beach as well socialising in the city of Pau (which has many good restaurants and bars.
We are still deciding on remit but see this person as an extension of our family to support us with the children and general light chores
