Dear Au Pair, We are a young family looking for some extra hands to help us create a more fulfilling life for our current two children. We have a boy (6yo) and a girl (5yo) and I am due to give birth beginning of May. (Please don't be alarmed as we will not expect you to look after the newborn!) We live close to London and would like to find someone who will be active with the elder children helping with day to day tasks, and creating a fun and loving environment for them. We also run our own nursery and will be opening another one in six months, so with baby on the way we will def. need someone who is hands on, not scared to get stuck in and use their own initiative. As with every parent, our children are very important to us, and we just want to ensure we do the best we can to ensure they are happy and remember their childhood with a smile on their faces. We would like the au pair to work around 25-30 hours per week for us. They will be expected to do housework, look after the 2 elder children and do some occasional babysitting which will all be accumulated within the 30 hours per week. As we run a nursery setting, we would like to develop the au pair's skills with working with children and would like her to work in the setting 1 day per week. This will be paid additionally. The au pair will also have most weekend's off, unless previously arranged babysitting will be scheduled. We will inform the au pair of this in advance.
