We are a family of four who are from Australia and currently living in the Netherlands. We have been living in the Netherlands for three and a half years now. My husband works full time and I own my own children's business here in the Netherlands. We are an active family and enjoy the outdoors and spending time together. We have two beautiful girls and one on the way (due at the start of February), one five year old who attends Dutch school and a two year old who is a happy and full of life. On the weekends we really enjoy spending time together as a family and visiting new placed around The Netherlands and Europe. We are living in Amstelveen, which is a suburb just outside of Amsterdam (20 minute ride to the city). It is a very family friendly environment where children are free to play football or socialize. We have a shopping center approximately 800m up the road and both the metro and bus station within walking distance. We live in a four bedroom, two bathroom house with one dog who love and adores humans. You will have your own room and bathroom on the first floor and have the weekends off to explore at your will. In addition, we also have a bicycle for you to use whilst staying with us. We also have a small front and back yard for the children to play. We are looking for someone who can become a part of our family and be a big sister or aunty to our two beautiful girls. Ideally we are looking for someone with previous experience with young children (1,5 year old), non-smoking, family orientated, happy, clean, active, bubbly and has lived away from home before. Our
Hour required: • Approximately 30 hours per week (this may vary for week to week). • Hour weekly can adjust according to mothers needs/schedule Expectations when working…. • Help the children get dressed and fed in the morning when working • Be attentive to children’s needs • Limited use of personal use of phone whilst in the children’s care. • Lead by example regarding respectful behavior and positive attitude. • Interact with children and play games, do craft, take to playgrounds etc. • At times walk our dog during day. • Begin work on time. • Girls are not to be left unattended at anytime. • Take 5 year old to and from school (this may not be required every day – to work with mother on this). • Help with homework • Prepare basic meals for the children when needed. • Bathe and put children to bed when appropriate. • Clean up after the children at the end of every shift. • Wash and fold the children’s clothes • Wash and fold the children’s sheets and towels weekly. • Ensure children’s bedrooms are clean and tidy. • Grocery shopping when needed. • First and foremost, working priority is with the host family and the girls. Outside of work. • Keep room and bathroom respectable • Assist with dinner at times. • Be apart of the family during dinner times.
