Dear au pair We are a family with two boys aged 9 and almost 7 and one little girl aged one and a half. I am french and my husband is italian and the children speak both french and italian. I am a translator and my husband Mario is a manager. Mario travels quite often during the week and at the contrary I am used to work at home. I am vegetarian but not the rest of the family but anyway they are not used to eat a lot of meat of any kind. It's important for us to take care of environnment. We like them to eat in a natural way avoiding industrial food. We are not used to watch tv often and the time for videogames is higly controlled. We like our children to respect people and to know the courtesy rules. We live in Rome, in an appartment in a nice area very near from a big park, Villa Pamphili. The two boys go to school from 8.30 to 16.30 and after school they attend basket lessons or different activities. Usually they play outside with their friends almost all year long. They are very nice boys, eager to learn, sweet and funny. The baby girl stays at home; usually she goes to the park in the morning and she comes to pick up her brothers in the afternoon. She adores being with her brothers, she likes to play outside and she is so sweet too.
I would like our au pair to be able to substitute me when I am not with the children. (she can bring the children at school, bring them back home, play with them, cook for them and take care of their stuff). I would like her to speak only english or spanish (depending of her mother tongue language) with all the family in order to make my children learn the language. We had a nanny till now but now we would like an au pair who could enrich my children cultural environnement. So I would like to find an au pair who could stimulate and share her own experience, eager to learn, reliable and with a fine education. She has to know how to handle some domestic works relative to kids, as it's not a matter of only playing with children. I would like her to bring her knowledge, experiences to my children. Obviously I would like her au pair to be joyfull, to really play with all of them, knowing how to organise a game, how to resolve a conflict in a positive way. I would like our au pair to employ her free time in a constructive way as to be a positive example for my children, I would like someone eager to learn italian (attending lessons), who pratices sport (like jogging in the big and beautiful park we have nearby home), who goes for museums, who's interested in art in any forms.
