Dear Au Pair, I have a beautiful and smart child, Ryan, that can't wait to meet you! We are Italian. We moved in the US a few years ago due to my job and we've been living in New Jersey ever since. I am a young professional and, being a single mom, I am very busy during the day. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and I work both from home and in a clinic. My son Ryan is 5 years of age and he is very smart, funny and outgoing. We love the arts, going to museums, reading books, horseback riding and travel. ****Important**** I have received many messages from different au pairs in the last week. Unfortunately NONE of them has replied to the mandatory questions that I have listed down here. Please read them carefully before you write me any messages. I am looking for an au pair that is over 21, if you are older than 26 the better. I would like complete HONESTY from a potential au pair, please do answer these questions: 1. Why do you want to be an au pair? (keep in mind that I have been an au pair when I was younger, and I will not accept "because I like children" kind of answer. Please be more articulate and most importantly be HONEST about your goals in coming to America.) 2. Do you know anybody in the USA? (relatives, friends, etc) 3. What is your idea of fun? (going out to the bar, etc) 4. Do you have any work experience? 5. Would you like to attend College while in the US? 6. Have you ever lived abroad? If you do not write the answer to these questions in your first message I will not reply to you.
You will have a section of the house for yourself, your own bedroom, sitting room with blue-ray dvd player, flat screen tv and cable tv, private bathroom and walk-in closet. You will also use a car, a 2013 Honda Pilot, to drive Ryan to school and to activities. You may use the car in your free-time as well. I will also provide a cell phone. Your main responsability is my son Ryan, driving him to and from school, to and from activities (swimming, basketball and soccer), keeping his rooms, toys, closet organized, doing laundry for him. Most week-ends will be free for you but I might ask you to baby-sit Ryan from time to time.
