Introduction personnelle
I want to be an au pair in China because it’s the best way for me to combine everything I care about: languages, cultures and children. I’m studying Chinese and International Relations, and as part of my degree I have to complete a 3-month immersion internship. Becoming an au pair is the ideal way to do it: textbooks and classes can only take me so far, whereas living with a Chinese family, hearing the language every day and sharing real moments at the table or on the way to school would help me progress much faster than anywhere else.
I visited China last August, travelling from small but popular towns to big cities like Shanghai and Chongqing, and I loved it. That trip confirmed that I want to go beyond being a tourist and experience daily life in China from the inside.
Having spent three years in Saudi Arabia, I already know how enriching it is to live abroad and adapt to a new culture, and I’m eager to do it again. Not just saudi Arabia, I've been to many other countries which enhanced this desire to travel even more. I also love working with children, and I enjoy helping them learn in a fun and natural way. Being an au pair is the perfect balance: I would help the family and the children, and in return I would discover a culture, improve my Chinese and build a real connection with them.
