Introduction personnelle
My name is Erika, I am 24 years old and I come from Indonesia. I am a warm, responsible, and caring person who enjoys spending time with children. I have hands-on experience taking care of my nieces and nephews, including a newborn and a toddler. From changing diapers and bottle-feeding to playing and helping with early learning, I’ve been actively involved in their daily routines. This experience has made me confident in handling young children and has deepened my love for childcare. I am excited to bring this care and dedication to a host family as an Au Pair.
I want to become an Au Pair because I am passionate about working with children and I love the idea of cultural exchange. Being an Au Pair gives me the opportunity to combine my love for childcare with my desire to experience life in a different country. I am especially interested in Dutch culture, lifestyle, and values, and I believe living with a host family is the most genuine way to learn and grow. This program will not only allow me to share my care and warmth with your children, but also help me grow as a person — learning a new language, adapting to a new environment, and building meaningful relationships.
I am experienced, responsible, and genuinely caring when it comes to children. I have taken care of babies from newborn age to toddlers, and I understand the patience, attention, and consistency required to ensure their safety and happiness. I know how to soothe a baby, handle feeding and changing routines, and also engage toddlers with age-appropriate games and learning activities. I am calm under pressure, respectful of family routines, and eager to support your household not only as a caregiver, but also as a reliable, friendly presence. I will treat your children as if they are my own younger siblings.
I am qualified for this position because of my practical experience and strong commitment to childcare. I have taken care of newborns and toddlers in both family. I am familiar with baby care routines, including bottle feeding, diaper changing, putting babies to sleep, and early childhood play and learning. In addition to my childcare experience, I am organized, emotionally mature, and adaptable — qualities that are essential when living abroad and caring for children. I am also open-minded and willing to learn about your family’s values, parenting style, and household expectations. I’m ready to contribute positively and make this exchange a meaningful experience for both of us.
