Introduction personnelle
Hi! My name is Vanessa, I’m 23 years old and from Spain. I have a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s in High School Education. I’m currently looking for new experiences abroad where I can grow personally, help a family, and discover a new culture.
I consider myself a creative, responsible and kind person. I’ve worked with children before and truly enjoy spending time with them—playing, doing crafts, helping with homework, or simply listening to them. I speak Spanish and Catalan (native) and English, and I’d be happy to help your children learn Spanish if you're interested!
I’m flexible, open-minded and used to adapting to different situations. I’m looking forward to becoming part of a welcoming family, sharing our cultures, and creating a positive environment for your children.
I consider myself cheerful, creative, and empathetic, someone who is practical and quick to solve challenges. Art is my biggest passion. Whether I’m exploring museums, sketching in a park, or getting my hands messy with paint, I’m in my element. I also love sharing that passion with others, especially kids, because I believe creativity is a skill that helps them grow, understand, and express themselves in the healthiest ways. I’m curious, open-minded, and always up for learning something new. I enjoy both family time and quiet moments on my own, and I’d be so happy to bring some color, laughter, and care into your family’s everyday life.
I studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, where I explored different techniques and forms of visual expression, from painting and sculpture to contemporary and conceptual art. Most recently, I completed a Master's Degree in Secondary and High School Education, specializing in Drawing. During my teaching internship, I worked as an art teacher at a local secondary school with students aged 12 to 14. It was a very enriching experience that confirmed how much I enjoy working with young people and helping them develop their creativity.
Alongside my studies, I’ve gained a wide range of work experience. From being a waitress and pizza maker to working as a tour guide on boat trips and even picking grapes in the mountains. I’m not afraid of hard work and always do my best in everything I take on. These jobs have helped me become adaptable, responsible, and ready to face new challenges — qualities I believe are essential when working with families and children.
In my free time, I enjoy a little bit of everything. I love traveling and discovering new places just as much as I enjoy a cozy movie night or a peaceful walk in the park. My main hobbies include drawing, going to the cinema, hanging out with my friends, and wandering around the city.
Unfortunately, there are no young children in my family at the moment. However, during my Master's degree and the related teaching practice, I have studied and gained experience working with young people aged 11 to 17, so I am comfortable and confident interacting with this age group.
Working with younger children would be a new experience for me, but I’m very eager and open to learning and adapting to their needs.
My native languages are Spanish and Catalan. I also have a good level of English, while I’m still working on improving my speaking fluency due to limited practice, I understand English perfectly and regularly read books in the language. Additionally, I have a basic knowledge of French.
I’m excited to become an au pair because it’s the perfect opportunity to improve my English skills while fully immersing myself in a new culture. I want to experience everyday life in a different country, learn from new experiences, and take a refreshing break after finishing my studies. I’m eager to share my creativity, connect with a family, and build meaningful relationships during my stay.
