Dear Future Host Family, My name is Emily, I’m 25 years old, and I’m from Scotland. I currently work with adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a role that has not only deepened my understanding of neurodiversity but also highlighted how naturally I connect with others—especially children. Alongside this, I help run my local youth theatre, where I work with children weekly during rehearsals. These experiences have sparked a passion in me that I plan to pursue further through a master’s degree in drama therapy, specialising in ASD. I’m excited about the opportunity to become an au pair and nanny because it combines everything I love—working with children, supporting others, and experiencing life through different cultures. I believe being an au pair is more than just a job; it’s about becoming part of a family and creating lasting connections while offering genuine care and support to the children I look after.
