Introduction personnelle
I have many younger cousins, all of whom I have cared for from time to time. I have a lot of patience and curiosity when taking care of children, and their needs are my priority. I am amicable, respectful, and able to get along with a wide range of people. I am interested in what the children enjoy and would love to bring my own childhood fun to theirs. I am very communicative and willing to take the time to understand any given persons boundaries and wishes and would exercise this with the entire family. I have a fair level of spoken French, and I am eager to improve this, so I would be grateful to be an au pair to a French family. I am flexible and willing to apply myself in any given situation, I have struggled through adjusting with different environments and have always been able to think optimistically and try my best in the most difficult of social and physical situations. For example, a friend of mine has epilepsy and had a seizure recently, I was able to administer the medicine she needed and time the seizure for the paramedics and she was perfectly fine in a matter of hours. I enjoy playing the trumpet, painting, and drawing, which makes me quite creatively inclined in music and art, which I feel I could bring to the children's livelihood in unique ways. For example, I enjoy pressing flowers and making collages from them, which I could show the children how to do. I love the outdoors, I regularly take walks in the woods and forests near my home, and would enjoy taking children outside to play and get some exercise. I regularly cook nutritious meals and could easily extend this in taking care of children. My experience with taking care of children has shown me how to anticipate and understand the needs of children who are not verbally inclined and feel I could bring this quality to the taking care of children. I would love to be considered for an opportunity where I could implement all of these skills and abilities in taking care of children.
