Introduction personnelle

Hello host family My name is Laura Sofia and I am an Au Pair intern. I have been a nanny here in my country Colombia for approximately 2 years and it has been a very nice experience. I have been in charge of 3 beautiful children (the first girl was Maria Paz, she was 6 years old at the time, the second was Juan who was 8 years old and the last was Salome who was 1 year old) where I provided my services to families to give them school tutoring, take them skating, be on hand in the afternoons after school, take them for walks (in the case of the baby, changing her, bathing her, giving her a bottle, putting her to sleep, taking her for a walk, among other activities), Lastly, here in the United States as an aupair, I had the opportunity to take care of Jon, a 2 year old boy, with whom we had a fixed schedule from 6:30am to 10:00am approximately and from 3:00pm after school to 8:15pm bedtime: 15pm bedtime, I had the good fortune to work very well with him, teach him Spanish, talk to him frequently, teach him homework and basic responsibilities of the house, among other things, we went out a lot to the park and the library so he could see a different world from his home and school. I decided to become a babysitter here in my country for different reasons, one of them being the lack of concern from parents regarding the education levels learning methods and quality time of their children, therefore, I was able to help two of the children with their English and math homework, subjects in which they were not doing so well and I had good knowledge to help them, allowing them to reinforce those subjects and get good grades; thus, I received great recognition from the children’s families for helping them in different situations where they could not be present in the education and learning of their children. I am a very responsible and nice person with children, giving them good teaching and learning for their growth, I am patient and affectionate, so I consider that I have a good profile to be an Au Pair. Since I was very young I have had a taste for taking care of children. As I am the older sister, I had situations in which I had to take care of my brother while my parents were not there, a time where I learned to cook, clean, wash, clothes, basic needs of a home thereforeI love to serve, I love to be aware of children, teach them, take them for walks, make them feel happy in each of their childhood stages. Talking to you a little about my lifestyle, I am more into knowing new places, I like to study and constantly train myself in new things that come up every day, I love traveling to other countries ( I have the opportunity to live 5 months in England, getting to know another culture and facing the outside world), among other hobbies, I am the older sister and my sense of responsibility has always been great, taking into account that my father passed away at an unexpected moment causing my rapid maturation and greater responsibility, helping my mother with household pr economic situations.
