Introduction personnelle

I am an American woman who will be studying dance in Athens for 9 months, starting this September. I would love to work with you and your family! A little about me: I hold degrees in Psychology and Humanities from the University of Texas at Austin and am heading to graduate school next year for counseling psychology soon, with a focus on somatics. I am an embodiment nerd: I've had a professional massage practice for 8 years, I am a dance (contact improvisation) teacher and facilitator, and a contemporary dance artist. I spend a lot of my time building community, practicing mindfulness, and learning ways of healthy relating with others. I also enjoy cooking, philosophy, reading, playing outside, and swimming - which are all ways I'd love to spend time with your kids. My orientation towards children: I believe in play, connection, facilitating healthy attachment, setting boundaries, and creating an attuned environment with positive reinforcement. I am committed to staying off screens and being really present when I’m with your kids. Would love to play, make art, read, and (if age appropriate) go on engaging adventures! My experience: I have 10 years of experience working with children ages 0-12. I babysat frequently in high school and early 20s, but then took a long break to focus on my massage practice and higher education. I have been nannying in Austin TX where I live this summer and can provide references. CPR and First Aid Certified.
