Introduction personnelle

Dear hosting family, My name is Marta, and I'm from Italy. I'm 22 years old and live in a town in the north-east of Italy, near Venice. In my family I'm the older sister: I have two brothers aged 20 and 14, and we also have two cats. I'm sporty: in the past, I practiced swimming, volleyball, and athletics for six years, but I stopped doing it because of the school, I still enjoy these activities. During my university years, I used to go to the gym quite often. Additionally, I have a passion for cooking, particularly baking cakes, muffins, biscuits, and desserts in general. I like trying new foods and flavors. I'm an organized person who respects schedules and values punctuality, disciplined and patient with children. I like studying: I studied social science and law during high school and learned English and French. After that, I graduated in Social Services in July 2023 and I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Innovation and Social Services. At 18, I babysat an 8-year-old child for six months. During my university years, I worked as a waitress for three years and spent summers working at summer camps. Nowadays, I provide tutoring in English and math to a 14-year-old boy, occasionally babysit, and work as an entertainer at children's birthday parties on weekends. After the summer exam session, I would like to live a new experience. I am willing to work as an au pair from July 22nd to September 1st, after which I will restart my university studies. This summer, I would like to improve my English language skills. I have a passion for traveling and believe that working as an au pair in a foreign country would give me the perfect opportunity to improve my language ability and get in touch with a different culture.
