We are a very small family of 7 (4 humans, a small dog, a cat and a crazy rabbit), which are focused on family life, gathering with other families, taking our little ones to meetings and playgrounds. We obviously love animals and nature, specially the beach, which is 20 minutes walk from our home. Matt is a manager in a company in Gibraltar, and I work remotely in our house in Spain as a Customer Service representative. Edith is a very sensitive and polite 5 years old, while Mateo is 3 years old, a bit wild boy but very loyal and sweet. They play independently very well, and enjoy playgrounds and free play.
The schedule to be with my little ones will be only in the mornings, and 1 or 2 nights of babysitting a month (maximum, but not all months), paid over the ordinary pocket money. Weekends off. The schedule will depend on my work schedule: I would be doing 4 days morning shift (8am to 20pm), 4 days off, followed by a later shift (1pm to 1am). However, my partner arrives home around 3 pm, on Fridays a bit earlier, so the actual schedule will be 8 am to 3pm, 4 days a week, once or twice a month, depending on how my schedule falls on the calendar. When a later shift, the schedule for the Au pair will go from 12:30pm to 3pm. Depending on my schedule, some days of the week will be off as well. The Au pair might be required to drive if some classes are taken in the morning, so a valid international driving licence if necessary will be required. No cooking, cleaning, or extra duties are required. Just some snacking for little ones, keeping them safe, clean and entertained with no tv or devices. We have plenty of games, toys, books, puzzles, plus materials to use with imagination. We only expect the au pair to keep their private ensuite room and bathroom clean and tidy, as we need to use this bathtub for the little ones as well. Also, any mess on communal areas needs to be clean (for example, after cooking food, clothes washing, etc). Due to this very flexible schedule and light duties, we expect some flexibility from the Au pair as well, in terms of babysitting.
