How to have a happy family

Raising a happy family may seem like a challenge. But if you pay attention to a few things that we are going to explain, things could get better every day. However, we don’t want to waste your time (it is a precious resource, we know) so let’s talk about real things.

Family time

Let’s start with a very important question. How much time do you spend with your dearest ones? As a family, we mean. 30 minutes? An hour? Two hours? Well, nowadays people are very busy. They try their best for getting money, getting better jobs and careers. This is not a bad thing until it affects family.

Let’s say that you are a modern working mother or father. Even if things get really difficult in your working life, do not neglect family. Try to spend at least two hours each day with your children, no matter how old they are.

You can do homework together, go shopping, watch movies and other educational or fun activities that may help you enjoy family life.

Psychologists say that two hours is the minimum amount of time that you should spend together in order to create a strong connection.

During weekend, you can do better. Organize your schedule and try to include more hours. Maybe you can go on a trip together or just for a walk in the park.

Fun but also practical activities

As a parent, you have a lot of things to do. You should do the laundry, wash the dishes, cook those meals… we got it. But, what about involving the whole family in this activity? Everybody should do their small part.

For example, the little ones can organize their books and toys. Or they can wash the dishes. Small things like these may help you get some time for yourself.

Home – the sanctuary of happiness

In order to flourish, we need a place where we can feel safe and happy. However, this place is home. When you come home, you should feel released. You forget should forget about your worries and enjoy some quality time with your family. On the other hand, giving your children a sanctuary is an enormous gift. Home is place where they would come back to find peace, love and shelter.
