We are a very happy family where mum (Sam) and dad (Chris) both work, Oliver is at school and Sophia is at nursery. Sam originates from Trinidad, and Chris originates from Australia, so we are used to travel and different cultures. Sam works in marketing in a pharmaceutical company and Chris works as an Assistant Principal in a secondary school. During term time, life is fairly routine during the week. On weekends we like to get out on day trips and enjoy being outside. Oliver enjoys some sports and Chris enjoys running, swimming, cycling. Oliver is incredibly easy going, loves playing with his Lego, and is always creating something new (either from Lego or his crafts). Sophia loves playing with Oliver (and his toys). Both children enjoy playing games with anyone who will play with them. Oliver also enjoys bouncing on his trampoline and digging in his sandpit. Sophia will probably also enjoy these activities as she gets a bit older.
We need someone to drop Oliver to school at 8.45am. On the way to school they would drop Sophia into her nursery. Oliver finishes school at 3.15pm, and would need collecting if he's not doing an after school club. Sophia could be collected then, or later as her nursery is open until 6.30pm. Chris and/or Sam will be home at about 6pm. We aim to sit down as a family for dinner at about 6.30pm. We'd ask for one night per week baby-sitting during term-time (we'd give plenty of notice) and the very occasional later finish if we both have meetings on the same night. During holiday time Chris normally looks after the children, but it would be good to have an evening of baby-sitting every week.
