We are a fun and energetic family of 5. Let me introduce the family- There is Jon and Kim the parents we are in our mid-thirties, then there is Isla the 8 year old and Harry the 4 year old and Hush the dog. Both parents work fulltime, our working hours are flexible and Kim gets 3 months off a year. Jon works in Information Technology and Kim is a Primary school teacher. Isla goes to the local primary school and Harry attends 4 year old kinder. As a family we love to go for walks, head to the beach and travel. Just recently we visited Port Douglas (Northern Australia) and spent the whole time at the beach or by the pool. We are an active family but also enjoy down time like watching movies and playing games. The children have a particular interest in Lego and love building together. Jon enjoys playing tennis, watching movies and running. Kim has a passion for dancing, cooking and gardening but also enjoys a good book. Harry loves building with blocks, playing imagination games, Peppa Pig and superheroes. Isla loves dancing, tennis and playing piano she is also an avid reader. We are a social family and love having friends and family over for bbq’s and parties. Most weekends we have something social on or we are on a cultural outing like going to the museum, zoo or market. We also enjoy going out for dinner and trying new restaurants with friends. We hope you will come with us and enjoy being part of our family.
What are we looking for? Our ideal Au Pair will be the one with the following skills/characteristics: ? A cool headed, positive, patient, pleasant and non-combative (yet still firm) personality ? Being proactive and shows initiate- is a self-starter ? Someone who follows through, which simply means finishing what is started and doing it the best that she can. We don’t expect perfect people, but someone who can go an extra mile ? Willing to help ? Likes animals especially dogs ? Good communication skills ? Interested in outdoor activities, reading and swimming ? Interested in hand and crafts/ recreational activities ? Previous Au Pair experience or childcare/children education qualifications is a bonus
