Dear lovely future Aupairs...... we are an experienced au pair family and we are looking for someone with a good acedemic background , we have had au pairs since our little olive was 2, our latest au pair has been with us over a years and a bit, and is sadly leaving us to go back home and study for a year, she is planning to come back after she has finished, as we are so fabulous.......ha ha ha we are a cool mixed culture family, and we are the easiest au pair job you will ever have, no huge amount of cleaning, no piles of laundry and no cooking, we just ask that you keep the house as tidy as we do, that when you look after Olivia you give her 100% attention and care, and care for her like she is your family, and that you are reliable and never late. if you want a young cool laid back experienced family who treat you like our family and you could be a big sister and some one for our olive to look up to and admire then we are for you. hope to see one of you soon xxxxxxxxxxx
we would expect some house work {only light}to be done when you are working, we expect you to constantly interact with Olivia even when we are home, when I mean interact I mean let her hang out with you and chat and just involve her with what you maybe doing, she is an only child and she will treat you like a big sister. we expect you to encourage Olivia in her school work and no matter how much she doesn't want to do it, she must be encouraged to do her home work set by school. we expect you to treat our house with respect and to be part of our family, so we expect for you to tidy up after yourself and to keep your room and bathroom tidy. you would be responsible for Olivias clothing only and her bedroom only, we would not expect you to do any thing of ours, of course if I ask you to load the washing machine and hang the clothes out, or to bring the clothes in from the washing line to do that for our clothes, but you will not be expected to put away or iron any of our clothes, only Olivias. we expect you to look after Olivia and make her your 100 % priority when you are alone with her in the house or out, we do not tolerate Aupair sitting in a park on their phones not watching Olivia, or walking home from school not holding her hands and as we live in a close community so we tend to hear about things like that from friends and neighbours. Olivia goes to school everyday from 8.50 to 15.15 and if we are not home we would expect you to get her ready for school and given breakfast and dropped off on time, as well as pick her up after school on time, their will be in rare occasions that you would have to look after her for sat and sun as myself and her dad both work shift work, and that includes weekends, its not very often but it may happen now and then. cleaning will include vacuuming upstairs and cleaning your and olivais bedroom and bathroom, Olivia does not have lots toys but is a techno freak so life is her phone, lap top and she loves to write stories and do lots of drawing and colouring. we would ask you to put on some laundry if we have not already done it, and to empty the dish washer and load the dish washer. you will have a large amount of time off, more than any of your Aupair friends you make as we work shifts and if we are home we do everything with Olivia, so even though you will have 2 full days off {not always the weekend} you will have lots of days off in the week. you do not have to do ironing or do anything for the animals its quiet a easy Aupair job really.
