We are an Australian / German family with a 2 1/2 year old girl and a lovely dog. Our daughter has been raised in English, German and French so far so we are looking for a French speaking AuPair who also speaks English or German (plenty of time to practice with us). We are a sporty family, so if you like to go for runs or bike rides, you will find the perfect environment here. We also have a nice indoor gym at home, if you like to work out. We live about 12 km outside of Brussels but there is a tram running all day. You would also have your own car that you could use any time. Ideally you are fun, easy going, happy to meet new people from all different cultures (we both work international jobs, so we are always surrounded by international friends). Of course we would like you to be good with kids and dogs, kind and smily! We are looking for someone who will be happy to stay for minimum 12 months. We often have friends over or go away for weekends, so it's never boring here. You are welcome to join or make your own weekend program... We would like you to sometimes (1-2 times a week, normally we are happy to drop her ourselves) help getting the girl ready for school and maybe drop her (nearby) or take the dog for a walk or ride in the morning. You then would have plenty of free time to attend language courses (English, French, German or Dutch) are available everywhere in Brussels. Around 4pm we would like you to pick her up from school and bring her home and play with her and maybe feed her dinner until one of us comes home (normally around 6). You would be off then and maybe asked once in a while to babysit, so we can go out for dinner. We are happy to pay 500€ pocket money. Food etc is of course included, so is petrol for your car. If you take the tram into the city (which we recommend, the traffic is awful in Brussels) we are happy to pay your monthly public transport subscription.
