We are a family looking for our first au pair to join our young family for a January 2017 start (can be flexible with earlier starting dates). Our family consists of my fiancé, myself and our two children aged two yr old and one yr old. They are young children who have never been in childcare so we would like someone who is willing to give them the attention required. Our household also consists of a few pets, two dogs – a kelpie and a pug, a rabbit, three chooks and a worm farm. My fiancé works five days a week and I work four days a week, we enjoy spending time with our friends and family which you would always be welcome to join if you would like. We live in a three bedroom home in the suburbs with beautiful nature walks at our doorstep. A short walk up the hill from the path at the back of our house will take you to Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve and part of the Centenary trail. We are in a fairly central suburb with easy access via public transport or car to the metropolitan areas. Canberra is very central with a half hour flight to Sydney, one hour flight to Melbourne and two hour flight to Brisbane. We can drive for two hours and be on the NSW south coast with its beautiful beaches and whale watching or drive three hours to be in the fantastic snow fields for skiing and boarding. We have family on both the south coast, Narooma and on a property in Coonabarabran near the beautiful Warrumbungles National Park on the Sunshine Coast in sunny Queensland and in Katherine in the Northern Territory. We also have a boat and enjoy water skiing in the warmer months.
We are a first time host family beginning our search for an au pair to join us from January 2017 (can be flexible with earlier start dates). Your help is required for four days a week while my fiancé and I are at work. The children are two yr old and one yr old and have not been in childcare. The days may involve various activities of the library, park, museums and play areas. General tidying and lunch preparation will be required. Driving is an option but not essential, we have a car that can be available and would be happy to provide some driving lessons in regards to Australian road rules. However if you are not comfortable driving public transport is sufficient. Hours may vary slightly day to day however you will have early mornings and evenings free along with a long weekend each week, Friday-Sunday.
