Dear au pair, We are a family of 4 living in Cerdanyola del Vallès, a city close to Barcelona. Our daughters are 4 and 6. They both go to the same school. My husband is a freelance graphic designer that works from home. I work at the City Council. We have jobs that can involve working unsocial hours so our weekly routine would be subject to change on occasion. We are looking for a loving and trustworthy AuPair to join our family, and to become a helping hand in our increasingly busy lives. Our home is in the centre of the town. Everything is at a walking distance. Supermarket, library, cinemas, shops, the girl’s school. The area is very well connected, the train will take you to the center of Barcelona in 20 minutes. Our town is home to Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, this means lots of students lives in the city. You’d have your own room with wifi, own bathroom and space to chill out.
We would like someone who we would feel comfortable with and can be part of the family, but also someone who is able to do their own thing, who is independent and who is not rigid, who would appreciate a flexible schedule and genuinely likes children ( this is the main criteria of course! ) During term time we'd need some help in the morning getting the girls ready for school and tidying up after we leave in the morning. They need to be there by 9am the school is very close. Collecting the girls from school at 4.30pm and then go to after school activities ( Monday to Wednesday), helping with homework, reading or playing, going to the park… Help with the children's laundry, keeping their bedroom and the communal areas tidy ( we have a cleaner once a week so it's just general tidying and keeping things in the right place ) We also want someone that helps our daughters with their english.
