We are an English/ South African family moving from France to Washington in Summer 2016. In order to ensure that our children don't lose their bilingualism we are looking for a native French au pair to speak with them, help them with some learning exercises, this can be through song, play etc, reading, games. Ideally someone who is creative and enjoys art projects and making things as are kids are particularly arty.
Speaking French to our children and only French! Ensuring they don't lose the ability to talk and understand French. Some babysitting, hours to be determined. Initially I (mum) wouldn't be working, so the role of the au pair is to maintain the french while the children are not in school, so after school / before school or weekends, we would timetable slots so it's clear. If I get work then we would re negotiate the hours. You would be welcomed in our home and we would be happy to have you with us. Looking for someone easy going, respectful, non smoker.
