We are a friendly and busy family, who need some help looking after our three lovely children, 11, 9 and 6. We are looking for a friendly, flexible and organised au pair to be part of our family. We live in a large 5 bedroomed house with a garden and pool. The Au Pair will have their own self contained flat comprising double bedroom, bathroom, lounge/kitchen, Whilst joined to our house, this also has separate access. We currently have a nanny but now the children are older (they are quite self sufficient) we are happy to have a less qualified individual. If possible we would like a French speaker so that they children improve their French although this is not essential. English lessons will be provided. Typical hours would be Mon-Thu - 07.30 to 10.30 (school run and household duties/meal preps). 14.30 - 18.30 (school pick up, club runs, dinner and getting ready for bed). 7 hours per day - less if parents do the school run. 28 hours plus 2 babysits and possible 2 hours Saturday morning. School holidays: 08.00 - 18.00 = 10 hours per day Mon-Thu. Possible few hours on Friday mornings. 40 hours.
Hours would usually be 07.30 to 18.30 week days, they may also have Friday's off where possible. A few hours on a Saturday morning might be required. We need the au pair to help get the children ready for school, drop them off at school, launder and iron their clothes, prepare their meals, collect them from school and take them to clubs. Once home, give them their dinner, make sure they have done their homework and get them ready for bed. A weekly household shop will be needed, plus a couple of nights babysitting would also be appreciated. During term time, once their household duties are complete they will have free time until school finishes at 3pm. Also, mother works from home on Fridays so where possible Friday's can be taken off. During school holidays, hours will be more full time (07.30 to 18.30). Very occasionally, both parents may be away with work so an overnight stay/ proxy parenting may be required, so we need someone who is willing and able to do this.
