We are a Greek-Swedish family, who live in Waterloo outside Brussels. At home we speak Swedish, Greek and English. We have two children – a girl of 13 and a boy of 11, and we are looking for someone who is happy, outgoing, active and do not mind helping to take care of a child with special needs. Our daughter is on the autistic spectrum, but having said that she is like most girls, and our current and previous au pairs say it is rather like taking care of a younger child.
The job is to help us with the kids, drive them to school in the morning, pick them up, take them to activities, play with them, do homework, help with their laundry and keep order in their rooms. A couple of times a week you cook dinner and lunch when the kids don't eat in school. There is no need for house work, but there is the need for keeping order in the kitchen after you use it for you or the kids and tidying up after them. Also we have a dog and a couple of times a week, he needs to be taken for walk in the nearby forest. Extremely rarely we would ask you to babysit on a weekend - but it might happen! The job is from the end of August until mid of July.
